The brief

Make people think about the switch on the wall before it lets them down.

FTM makes switches, sockets and electrical products built for the Iraqi market — things nobody notices until they fail. The film makes them fail, on purpose.

A family is settling in for a film at home when the lights go out. A scorched socket starts to smoke, the TV glitches, and Dad's attempt at a quick fix ends with him on the floor. Then an FTM electrician arrives, fits new FTM switches and sockets, and the evening goes back to normal. It closes on two words in Kurdish: FTM — for always.
